Players have just left for their one hour dinner break. There are 70 players left on 8 tables, as all tables are playing 9-handed.
When they return they will be playing at 400/800/100. The average stack is 31,687.

Main Event Day 1A - Final 9 Set; Hollander Out in 11th, McBrien Out in 10th
We had no necessity for a ten-handed final table, because after the elimination of Jesse Hollander in 11th, a simultaneous hand had Joe Brandenburg raising in early position, with David McBrien moving all-in on a short stack in the cutoff.
Anthony Yeh, the man who busted the money bubble, was at it again, as he moved all-in over the top from the blinds, sending Brandenburg deep into the tank, from which he eventually emerged with a fold of pocket queens. He was right, as Yeh had pocket aces, and McBrien could only muster pocket sevens. There was no help from the board, and so Yeh busted both the money bubble and the final nine bubble on Day 1A.
Hollander, of Las Vegas, and McBrien of Queensland, Australia each received $1,200 for their efforts.
Chip counts for the final nine are forthcoming, and we have a couple of repeat final tablists in James Wheatley and Bona Sar, who have each had very successful series' at Detox. Getty Mattingsley is also one of the nine.
Main Event Day 1A - Farshid Barghisavar Out in 13th, Jeff White Out in 12th
Farshid Barghisavar of Las Vegas, Nevada was our 13th place finisher, and Jeffrey White of Lockport, NY was right behind him in 12th.
With one more elimination we will be down to an unofficial final table of 10, with nine of those players moving on to play on Sunday.
Main Event Day 1A - Chris Griswold Out in 14th, Blinds are Up
Chris Griswold was very close to an incredible birthday present, but his fun was spoiled just five spots from the final nine on Day 1A.
He was involved in a coinflip situation with pocket tens against ace-queen offsuit, and the board was all safe cards for Griswold until the cruel queen hit the river, sending him home in 14th place.
We'd like to send our condolonces, and Happy Birthday, Chris!

It was a race situation for almost all of their chips, as Alexander Andreyevich of St. Petersburg, Russia held [As][Qs] against James Wheatley's [Jc][Jh], all-in preflop. The board ran out [8d][6c][5s][2h][Ts], which was no help to Andreyevich who went out in 18th place for $1,200.
Main Event Day 1A - John Brewer Out in 19th, Blinds Are Up
John Brewer of Edmond, Oklahoma was just eliminated in 19th place, and we are now down to just two tables in play on Day 1A.
The blinds just increased to 2,000/4,000/500, and the average stack is 113,889.
Main Event Day 1A - Samir Husaynue Knocked Out in 20th, 1 Spot from Pay Jump
Samir Husaynue of West Bloomfield, Michigan got all-in on a flop of [9d][8d][3d] with [Qc][Td] but was in trouble against [Ad][9c]. The turn [4c] and the river [7h] changed nothing and Husaynue went home in 20th.
With one more elimination we will get down to two tables and a pay jump to $1,200.

Robert Brown of Las Vegas, Nevada was just knocked out in 21st place.
Main Event Day 1A - Ramsey Mezy Out in 22nd
Facing a late position raise, Ramsey Mezy moved all-in with [As][6s] but was dominated when his opponent called with [Ad][Kd]. The board ran out [Qh][4s][3h][8d][Qc] and Mezy, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was out in 22nd.

$200,000 Guaranteed Main Event Day 1A - Bubble Has Burst
We are now officially in the money, thanks to Anthony Yeh. He eliminated Steve Hoshi of San Jose, California, as the two short stacks tangled for almost all of their chips. We spoke to Yeh about the hand, and the video should be up shortly.
Everyone is now guaranteed $800. Blinds are 1,200/2,400/400 and the average stack is just under 76,000.

Players just condensed down to four tables, so with 36 players left we are just nine spots from the money. The blinds are 1,000/2,000/300, and the average stack is 56,944.
Getty Mattingsley appears to be our chip leader at the moment with about 170,000. Players who cash will be guaranteed $800.

We caught up to Ari during a break and talked to him about a strange hand that got him a lot of chips late in the tournament.

They are down to heads-up play in this one, with "Bodog" Ari taking on Sam Bessinger. Bessinger held a significant chip advantage but Ari has pulled it back to even.
Just before this post was to go up, they played a pot for almost all of the chips in play with Ari holding pocket aces against Bessinger's pocket kings with all of the money going in on a flop with all baby cards.

Event #10 $50,000 Guaranteed NLHE - Final Table Set
It was another bad beat that brought us down to the final nine. A pre-flop all-in between pocket jacks and [Ad][2d] was won when an ace spiked the turn to eliminate our tenth place finisher, Vance Essak.
Names and chip counts are forthcoming.
Event #10 $50,000 Guaranteed NLHE - Down to 10
2 players, including Dustin Lytle, were eliminated on one hand to bring the field down to 10. Joseph Cheong and Joe Tehan both went out in the play down from 18, but "Bodog" Ari Engel has made the final ten.
We will eliminate one more player and then come back tomorrow to play out the final table. The player who goes out in 10th place will earn $750.

There are just six players remaining in the tournament, so we are on the money bubble.

Simultaneous to the setting of the final table was the bursting of the bubble. It was of course a bad beat as KQ got there against AK to eliminate the 19th place finisher.
Hand for hand play is over & the final two tables are back underway. Everyone is guaranteed $550, and all three previously mentioned notables (Cheong, Tehan & Bodog Ari) are still alive as they quickly approach the final table.

Derek Payne Wins Event #9 - $350 NLHE Shootout
Derek Payne made it three-for-three by finishing off Dustin Lytle. On the final hand, Payne moved all-in on a board of [Ad][Qd][4c][Ks] and was called by Lytle. Lytle was in big trouble as his [Jd][9d] was well behind the [Js][Tc] that Payne had for the nut straight. There was no ten or diamond on the river, and Lytle was crowned the champion of Event #9.
The Final Hand
Event #8 $350 NLHE Shootout - Craig Doyle Eliminated in 3rd Place
Derek Payne continued his strong run at the final table by eliminating Craig Doyle in 3rd place. Doyle will get $1,530 for his finish.
Payne holds a fairly substantial lead over Dustin Lytle entering heads-up play.
Event #9 $350 NLHE Shootout - Eric Baldwin Eliminated in 4th Place
Baldwin was on a short stack and made a three-bet bluff shove with ten-six offsuit and ran into the pocket tens of Derek Payne. The board provided no relief and Baldwin was eliminate. He will receive $1,020 for his efforts.
Joseph Neiman Wins Event #8 - $350 Six-Max NLHE

With the elimination of Michael Linzer in third place, Joseph Neiman and James Hoeppner made a deal for the remaining prize money based on stack sizes. By virtue of his 2-1 chip lead, Neiman takes home $6,308 and the trophy.

Event #9 - $350 NLHE Shootout - We Have Our First Winner
The first of four tables in the No Limit Hold'em Shootout has been completed, and it will be Craig Doyle advancing to the final table of four and locking up at least $1,020.
There is one table playing heads-up and the other two tables are four-handed. One of the four handed tables (the featured table) has both Eric Baldwin and Justin Young in contention. The other four-handed table has 7-Game event winner James Wheatley vying for his second title.
So far the eliminations have included Layne Flack, Gavin Smith, Bryan Micon, Ylon Schwartz, Joe Tehan and Jess Welman.
Event #8 - $350 Six-Max NLHE - Dinner Break, On the Bubble
Just before the scheduled one hour dinner break, players reached the unofficial final table of 7. Sam Grizzle lost a massive pot on a Q436 board with 44 against 57. He has just 4500 chips and is the shortest stack with blinds going to 400/800 when players return from the break.

Event #7 - Final Table
Event 7 has now reached the ten-handed final table. They will play down to six-handed, enough to burst the bubble before they return to play it out tomorrow at 3 pm.

The heads-up match did not last very long, and when the dust had settled it was David Rodriguez winning Event #6, a $350 No Limit Hold'em tournament.

Event #6 is in the Money
Event #6 broke the money bubble a few minutes ago and the five remaining players were all guaranteed at least $690. We've already knocked out a player in the money, so just four players remain as the dinner break quickly approaches.
Joe Tehan will not be our first repeat champion (at least not yet) as he finished just out of the money.
